Chuck practices in the areas of construction law, design professional liability, public procurement, insurance and surety, real estate litigation, business litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. He has extensive trial experience in both state and federal court and has arbitrated many construction disputes in his years of practice. Chuck is best known for his experience representing all participants in the construction industry in a wide range of matters including contract drafting and negotiation, licensing issues, enforcement of payment rights (with an emphasis on mechanic’s liens and payment bond claims), construction defect claims, and claims relating to delays and lost productivity. Chuck has been privileged to work on some of the largest construction defect claims and claims for lost productivity and delays in the state of South Carolina. Prior to becoming an attorney, Chuck worked as a project manager for several reputable construction firms in the upstate of South Carolina and his clients appreciate him bringing that experience to the table when representing them on construction matters.
